Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies (known as Gyakuten Saiban 5 in Japan) is a video game for the Nintendo 3DS. The fifth main installment in the Ace Attorney series, it is the second title in the franchise on the system, following Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney.
It was first announced in January 2012 with a logo, and was later confirmed for the platform in a September 2012 issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu. [1] [2] [3] Developed and published by Capcom, it was released July 25, 2013 in Japan. It was released October 24, 2013 as a Nintendo eShop exclusive title in North America and Europe. Gameplay[]
The game takes place one year after Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. The main protagonist is once again Phoenix Wright, and marks his return to being a lawyer. His assistant is a mysterious girl who wears yellow and is integral to the story. In a first for the series, the characters are rendered in 3D models as opposed to sprites. [8]
